I love that advice! Being currently pregnant with twins, I appreciate that you'd just call me and let me go home and rest! I'm too big to stand for long conversations anymore!
Hmm... advice... First I'd say sleep as much as you can NOW. Second, when times are tough and patience is wearing thin, remember that the hard times are TEMPORARY. They will be over. Give yourself landmarks to make it to. For me it was a huge step to make it to their due date. Then 6 weeks (when supposedly the crying peaks). Then their two month pediatrician appt. Then 4 months. After 4 months things were going MUCH smoother and I was able to cope. Third, make sure to make time for yourself when you are feeling frazzled. No matter what. Even if its just getting someone to come over and watch the babies while you shower or take a walk in the park or something. Having nothing to do feels WOOOONDERFUL! And last, don't EVER EVER turn down help! Even if you don't need it right away, if someone offers, take down their number and call them when you are really needing it to come over even for an hour so you can get out of the house and go get yourself and ice cream, take a short nap, anything. This helps tons! HTH!
Wow - I just found this blog! I didn't know you guys had made it! But it looks like no one updates it very frequently?? Well, time to start back up again! I want to join the club - I need all the help and advice I can get!! :0
